Findpet is a pet identification and recovery platform that combines multiple tools to help identify pets and support lost-pet reunification. Our three primary layers of protection include:

  1. Microchip registration searchable through the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool.
  2. Smart pet IDs and tags that help people quickly access a pet's Findpet profile.
  3. Biometric pet identification and photo matching powered by computer vision.

Findpet also supports lost-and-found reporting and community-assisted pet reunification.

Findpet offers a comprehensive Findpet for Shelters program, along with the optional Findpet Shelter Tag Program.

Here is a quick overview of the key benefits available to participating shelters and rescue organizations:

  1. Your shelter can remain a backup recovery contact. For pets originally registered through your shelter, your organization can remain connected to the pet profile after the pet is transferred to its new owner. This provides an additional point of contact if the pet is ever lost or found. Read more.
  2. Your shelter can receive notifications related to transferred pets. If someone contacts the owner through the Findpet pet profile, your shelter can also receive notifications for pets that originated from your organization.
  3. You can track whether an ownership transfer has been completed. After an adoption, shelter staff can see whether the new owner has completed the pet profile transfer and accepted ownership. Read more.
  4. Pet Access Log provides additional recovery information. Findpet's Pet Access Log records certain interactions with a pet's identification and profile that may help shelters and pet owners during a lost-pet search.
  5. Pets can be added manually or automatically. Authorized shelter staff can add pets manually, or your Shelter Management Software can exchange pet data with Findpet through an integration.
