Findpet's Pet Access Log logs events that help reunite lost pets with their families quickly and safely. This log includes:

  1. Approximate tag scan location
  2. Exact tag scan location (if shared by the user and if the pet has a Findpet tag)
  3. Microchip search at Findpet
  4. Microchip search at AAHA's Pet Microchip Lookup Tool
  5. Pet profile view
  6. Microchip profile view
  7. Message to the owner with approximate and exact (if shared) location
  8. Pet photos matched through photo search (coming soon)

These access log details, combined with timely notifications, greatly increase the chances of returning lost pets to their loving families. According to our stats, 96% of pets with Findpet tags are returned home within 24 hours.

Is Access log free?

Access log is currently in beta testing and available to every one. In the future some functionality like access location data will be limited to premium subscribers.

Is Pet Access log free for my shelters?

Yes, shelters will have a full access log to all their pets currently at their facilities (pets with status “In shelter”).

For shelters that participate in Findpet for shelters pet tag program with linked Findpet tag you will have a free full access to Pet Access log for all your transferred pets once the following conditions are met:

  1. the pet has been reported “Lost” by the owner (full 30 day history Access log until pet status returns to “Registered/Reunited” status)
  2. a new pet with the same microchip number was reported as “Found” at Findpet (full 30 day history Access log until pet status returns to “Registered/Reunited” status)
  3. if the the pet’s microchip was searched at Findpet or AAHA’s Microchip Lookup Tool (access is granted for 72 hours with 72 hour history log)

Where I can find Pet Access log?

  1. Go to the "Dashboard" or "My Pets" section (you need to be authorized to see them)
