For pets that were registered through the "Findpet for shelters pet tag program" shelter staff will have access to Findpet Premium protection functionality:

  1. full access to the Pet Access log from the date the pet was marked lost or the microchip was reported found at Findpet. The Pet access log is a useful tool for pet owners and shelters, as it can provide quick access to updated records in the event that a pet goes missing.

  2. shelters may opt in to receive Findpets premium notifications that include:

    1. SMS (in addition to email) about important events, i.e. if someone messaged through the pet profile with a link to read that message
    2. notification about your pets’ microchip search at Findpet or AAHA, if a pet with the same microchip was reported “Found” at Findpet, etc.
  3. Automated lost pet search and alerts that leverages Findpet’s advanced Computer Vision (photo-matching) technology and volunteer lost pet reunion community. If we we believe that there are similar pets to your shelter one that has been reported “Lost” or “Found”, we’ll send you automated alerts with a list of similar pets.

  4. Your shelter contacts will be permanently linked to the pet profile for all important future notifications (read more here).
